Adriana Yañez é diretora e roteirista com mais de 15 anos de atuação. Nascida em São Paulo, formou-se em Comunicação Social pela PUC-SP e estudou documentário na PUC-SP, USP e na Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (Cuba).

​

Seu documentário mais recente, As Primeiras (78 min) — sobre mulheres que integraram a primeira seleção feminina de futebol do Brasil — acumula seis prêmios e já foi exibido em mais de 30 festivais internacionais. Em 2025, estreou no Festival É Tudo Verdade Pau D’Arco (89 min), sobre o maior massacre do século na Amazônia, projeto da Repórter Brasil em que assina o roteiro.

Em 2023, dirigiu um episódio da série The World According to Football (Showtime/Paramount+), filmada em cinco países e premiada no Sports Emmy Awards 2024. No Brasil, foi responsável pelo episódio dedicado ao futebol feminino e equidade de gênero.

​

Também dirigiu e roteirizou projetos para diferentes canais, como Marta – Dois Riachos to Umeå (ESPN Internacional), Jovens Inventores (TV Globo) e Sociedade do Cansaço (Globoplay). Em paralelo, realizou projetos em parceria com marcas como Jeep, Mastercard, L’Occitane, Canon e Vivo, sempre centrados em personagens e histórias reais.

Colaborou como diretora com Petra Costa em Apocalipse nos Trópicos e desenvolveu uma série híbrida de ficção e documentário em parceria com Kátia Lund, com mentoria de Kevin Macdonald, atualmente em fase de captação.

Seu documentário Um Crime Entre Nós (60 min), adquirido pela Globoplay, consolidou sua atuação em projetos de impacto social, incluindo trabalhos com o Instituto Liberta e o Prêmio Trip Transformadores.

Em 2026, lança o curta de ficção Filha e o documentário Ricardo, a série Paulo Borges: Muito Além da Moda, como supervisora de roteiro, e os documentários Sig Bergamin e Herança, nos quais assina o roteiro.

Adriana Yañez is a director and screenwriter with over 15 years of experience. Born in São Paulo, she holds a degree in Social Communication from PUC-SP and studied documentary filmmaking at PUC-SP, USP, and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (Cuba).

Her latest documentary, The First Women (78 min) — about the women who were part of Brazil’s first women’s national football team — has received six awards and has been screened at over 30 international film festivals. In 2025, Pau D’Arco (89 min) premiered at It’s All True International Documentary Film Festival. The film addresses the largest massacre of the century in the Amazon and is a project by Repórter Brasil, for which she is the screenwriter.

In 2023, she directed an episode of the international series The World According to Football (Showtime/Paramount+), filmed across five countries and awarded at the 2024 Sports Emmy Awards. In Brazil, she directed the episode focused on women’s football and gender equity.

She has also directed and written projects for major platforms and broadcasters, including Marta – Dois Riachos to Umeå (ESPN International), Jovens Inventores (TV Globo), and The Burnout Society (Globoplay). In parallel, she has developed documentary projects in collaboration with brands such as Jeep, Mastercard, L’Occitane, Canon, and Vivo, always centered on real characters and stories.

She collaborated as a director with Petra Costa on Apocalypse in the Tropics and developed a hybrid fiction-documentary series in partnership with Kátia Lund, under the mentorship of Kevin Macdonald, currently in development.

​

Her documentary A Crime Amongst Us (60 min), acquired by Globoplay, consolidated her work in socially driven storytelling, including collaborations with Instituto Liberta and the Trip Transformadores Award.

In 2026, she will release her first fiction short film, Filha, the series Paulo Borges: Beyond Fashion (as head writer supervisor), and the documentaries Sig Bergamin and Herança, for which she is also the screenwriter.
